A sheet of liquid chrome peeling off a matte obsidian block and curling into a single wave. Automotive-grade reflection discipline on an object that could not be machined.
A mirror shows you the room, not the object. So the room had to be built as carefully as the metal: one hard key, one long gradient, an oxide-red gel under the fold to stop the curl going grey.
Chrome is not a material problem. It is a room problem.
The mirror reported the room honestly — stands, cables, spill. Clean the set or clean the reflection; there is no third option.
Soft key, symmetrical framing. The metal went to rubber and the whole thing read as a render of a cushion.
Became the reflection and lighting reference for every product frame we cut since.
