THE SLOW HOUR
An object that only makes sense if you watch it longer than you meant to.

Object study / duration
A machined bone-white disc turning a fraction of a degree over black glass. No face, no numerals, no hands — time read only as displacement: an oxide-red index mark creeping past a fixed steel hairline.
Everything is calibrated to be slower than attention. The dust settling into the cut groove is the only proof anything moved at all.

Two ways to lose an hour.

Flat, centred, fully lit. A catalogue record of a disc — no light to move across it, so nothing to watch.

Spun to a blur. Speed reads as motion, not as time — and the whole point was to make an hour visible.
The loop is ninety seconds long and almost nothing happens in it. Both facts are the result.
